Craig Rose brought an idea to Shope Creek Wilderness: bring people together for a retreat shaped by the land, the people, and what happens when everyone has room to create.
We hosted two gatherings. People stayed together in the house, and we rented the places next door to make room for everyone. We shared meals, explored the forest, made music and art, and found ourselves in conversations we couldn't have planned.
It was epic. And we captured it on camera.

Why Camp Mary
Exists
Camp Mary did not appear overnight.
It is the result of nearly two decades of exploration, experimentation, community building, and asking one question:
What actually helps people come alive?
Along the way, Craig found himself in some unusual places.
Ancient spiritual communities.
Intentional villages.
Artist colonies.
Wilderness retreats.
Music festivals.
Plant medicine circles.
Innovation labs.
Off-grid experiments.
Places where people were attempting to build different futures.

Damanhur
Craig visited Damanhur — one of the world's most famous intentional communities.
Built largely underground and hidden within the mountains, Damanhur became known for combining:
Art.
Spirituality.
Architecture.
Mythology.
Community living.
It asked a question that would stay with him:
What happens when people intentionally build a culture together?

Mexico
Years of travel to Mexico introduced Craig to traditions centered around ceremony, nature, community, and transformation.
Not as entertainment.
Not as escape.
But as opportunities to see life differently.
The lesson wasn't the ceremony.
The lesson was the people.
The conversations. The willingness to gather around something meaningful.

Rainbow Ridge
In the Santa Cruz Mountains, Rainbow Ridge became a proving ground.
Musicians.
Artists.
Entrepreneurs.
Seekers.
Friends.
Gathered repeatedly to explore:
Creativity.

Healing.
Connection.
Many of the relationships that now exist inside Shope Creek Wilderness were forged there.
Rainbow Ridge proved something important:
People don't need more information.
They need environments where transformation is possible.

Rainbow Ridge.

Each offered pieces of the puzzle. But none felt complete.
Some had spirituality but lacked creativity.
Some had creativity but lacked stewardship.
Some had community but lacked vision.
Some had vision but lacked heart.

What began as two gatherings
became a story worth sharing.
The cameras captured the people, the laughter, the music, and the unexpected moments that made Camp Mary what it was. That footage is becoming the Stay Curious docuseries.
Stay Curious is a Hollow Bone Initiative docuseries, directed by Jackson Averett and created by Craig Rose and Jackson Averett. The Deer Trail is Episode One.

Created together.
Camp Mary 2027 brings people of all genders together in a shared retreat experience.
The First Mirror / The Father Code is jointly hosted by Seraphina Solis, Craig Rose / Digital Rose, and Lion Laguna, with Stacey, Joda, practitioners, elders, and artists contributing to the gathering.
Seraphina brings breathwork, yoga, and embodied practice. Craig brings conversation, storytelling, music, and support for turning ideas into creations. Together, they make space to explore the relationships and inherited patterns that shaped us, and what we want to create next.
We gather together, learn from one another, and bring our different perspectives into the same circle.

For the first gatherings, we rented the places next door. After that first retreat, Stephen bought them so the work could continue. In 2027, we begin hosting there.
